Introduction to Tablet Weaving
Instructor: Fiadnata o Gleann Alainn
This class will introduce students to the basics of tablet weaving,
using a back strap loom and a threaded-in pattern. Please bring/wear a
belt that will not slip. Class fee: $8 for thread, cards and weaving
shuttle. Limit: 8 students. (Others can watch from the side, or bring
their own set-ups.)

etc. How to make some of the shapes common in 16th century needle lace (such
as triangles, circles, fleur de lis etc.)
10th C. Garb in Britain
Instructor: Baroness Cathryn of Chester
Color, fabrics, cut, decoration, and accessories for the 10th Century, as worn by all
classes in Britain by the Vikings (Northmen), Anglo-Saxons, etc. Bring ideas to
share if interested.

The class will be taught with the aid of Dr. David Lash, M.D. and will cover the
bio-mechanical mechanism of most rotator cuff injuries, tennis elbow, wrist sprains,
etc. and common SCA combat techniques that can lead to or aggravate these.
